Hey everybody!

Today’s outfit post talks about putting your best satorical foot forward while beating the summer heat.

Looking your best on a hot summer’s day has become a challenge for every girl combating the Bombay heat. However, I've taken up the challenge to use a couple of cues from the latest crop top and billowy bottoms trend to look my comfortable best.

This season, I’ve been grabbing at flared bottoms like wide legged pants and pleated skirts with cute colourful crop tops as my go-to outfit. If the bottoms sit high enough at the waist, this outfit transitions well from a day at the office to an evening at your favorite pub with friends. My pleated button down midi skirt is perfect for a hot day like today as it's comfort driven silhouette is light and breezy and allows my skin to breathe. The tie-up belt that comes with it adds a pretty touch and the pockets are functional for carrying little knick-knacks like my phone and lipstick on a busy day. This skirt can be paired with an array of coloured tops given its versatile colour. The green crop top adds a pop of colour to the otherwise muted coloured skirt. You could even try a bright solid coloured tank top or well fitted tee if you haven’t bought into the crop top trend.

I love a great statement neckpiece! It works as a perfect accessory to uplift even the most drab of outfits. For this outfit I chose an oxidized silver neckpiece as it dresses up my summer outfit without overshadowing the easy-breezy feel I was aiming for. Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I never leave the house without my trustee finger rings and today, I chose my silver rings to go with my oxidized neckpiece. My silver slip-on sandals are my go-to choice of footwear this season especially when I need to run out of the house in a jiffy and since I was working the silver angle today they worked just fine! I kept my earrings minimal with simple ear studs to keep the main focus on my neckpiece.

During the summer I despise the summer heat and stickiness, hence I always keep my hair up, away from my neck. I love braiding my hair and I chose to mimic the Heidi braid. It’s a relatively simple technique and the end result is so pretty!

Lastly, I completed my look with a pair of kitschy sunglasses that I picked up at the last stylecracker borough I was at. These sunnies are not only adorable, they also add a whole lot of fun to my ensemble.

I hope this helps anybody stuck in an outfit rut! We know what you’re going through, we’ve been there too . Stick around for more style posts and more to beat the summer heat!
