Dressing for the weather has always been a key factor when you live in a city like Bombay. While dealing with this searing heat, I have adopted a more comfort driven approach to dressing and today, I reached out for the one, fail proof item of clothing in my closet that is fuss free and would let me breathe while looking great at the same time: my trustee Maxi Dress.

Maxi dresses have always been a summer dress staple in every girl’s closet and for good reason! Doesn’t every girl know what I mean when I say this? With the temperatures soaring you can stay comfortable whether at work or on the move in a Maxi dress but never have to compromise on looking you very best. Maxi dresses also come is so many styles and silhouettes that there’s a wide variety to choose from for every occasion and for every body type! And most importantly, it’s the easiest, one piece garment to throw on that’s fuss free and guaranteed to look great!

Dressing up a Maxi dress can be pretty simple. A few accessories is the easiest way to go but layering can also add a fun twist to your outfit. With my floral printed, Maxi dress, I threw on a denim shirt and added a skinny high waist belt to play up a more laidback vibe. Open toed sandals or slip-ons are usually advisable with a pretty Maxi dress. I went with my ghungaroo chappals as they not only add a pop of colour but the ghungaroos add a playful touch as well. When it comes to accessorizing, I’m a minimalist and a pair of earrings are usually the only piece of jewellery I like wearing. So with this outfit I went with a dull gold pair of ethnic hoop earrings that complimented my chappals and pulled together my whole look. Lastly, I pulled back my hair in a functional ponytail and I’m good to go!

So girls, throw on a Maxi dress and enjoy the last of this summer heat, in style and fuss free!
